This trip is the combination of the Marlborough & West Coast Cycle and Milford Wilderness.
Wineries, whales, mountains and fiords! An 18 day spectacular ride, covering the upper South Island, the tussock covered Eastern mountain ranges through to the rain forests of Fiordland. From the bush clad Lewis Pass, the steamy hot pools of Maruia Springs, the wines of Marlborough and the whales of Kaikoura, the first seven days are packed with memories before we return to Christchurch. We have a rest day in the 'Garden City' with its trams, scenic coastal walkway and beautiful Akaroa close at hand.
Heading south we travel through the mountainous MacKenzie basin enjoying the gracious hospitality of our farmstay hosts and staying at scenic mountain lodges. A rest day in Queenstown provides the opportunity to enjoy the numerous adventure activities or relax in this alpine resort. A final sojourn out to Milford Sound and a unique overnight experience on board the Milford Mariner in your own cabin with private facilities, before a final return to Queenstown on board a timeless steamship.
