 If you're short on time and want to experience one of the best coastal bike rides in the world, then this cycling trip is for you! From Christchurch on the east coast we cross the main divide as we explore the South Island's west coast and finish back in Christchurch. This tour can be combined with the Great West Coast Cycle Tour. If you book two consecutive tours with us we will include one nights lodging (before, after or between tours) free of charge.
- 5 days of spectacular cycling with up to 100kms per day
- cycle the spectacular Port Hills in Christchurch before setting off on the trip
- soak and relax in the hot pools of Hanmer Springs and Maruia Springs as you cross the Main Divide
- visit the West Coast mining town of Reefton and onto the might Buller River
- enjoy one of the best coastal rides in the world dropping into the wild Tasman ocean
- marvel at the unique Pancake Rocks on the West Coast whilst enjoying the comfort of the new hotel on the coastline
- finish in Greymouth and return to Christchurch on the memorable Tranz Alpine Express via the spectacular Waimakariri Gorge and Arthur's Pass National park
- on this tour the use of our Trek Hybrid 7500 or 7300 cycles is included in the tour cost. You have the option of upgrading to Trek 1.5 road touring bikes for an extra NZD $30 per day. You are also welcome to bring your own bike by prior arrangement.
