Join our senior guides, Bas and Craig and many of our favourite returning clients, on ten days of cycling on a mainly coastal circuit around the beautiful Northland provience scenery. You will ride through one of New Zealand's last remaining Kauri forests, travel alongside the picturesque Hokianga harbour, cycle to Cape Reinga at the very top of New Zealand and stay in the early whaling settlement of Russell, once know as the hell-hole of the Pacific! Accommodation will be a mixture of resorts and quality motels in scenic coastal locations.

- cycle through the magnificent Waipoua Forests and visit Tane Mahuta, the largest kauri tree in the world
- enjoy delicious meals with local seafood being a specialty
- cycle to Cape Reinga at New Zealand’s northernmost tip, where the Tasman and Pacific oceans meet and where according to Maori legend, the spirits of the dead depart from New Zealand shores
- visit the historic stone store in Kerikeri, New Zealand’s oldest European building
- cycle rural and coastal roads with stunning views
- visit Waitangi Marae and the Maori meeting house with its magnificent carvings, the place where the treaty was signed between the Maori people and the British Government in 1840
- enjoy a rest day in Russell, once known as the hell-hole of the Pacific this is now a peaceful marine village in a beautiful setting, with options to go cruising in the Bay of Islands
- stay in luxurious lodgings in spectacular coastal locations
On this tour the use of our Trek Hybrid 7500 or 7300 cycles is included in the tour cost. You have the option of upgrading to Trek 1.5 road touring bikes for an extra NZD $35 per day. You are also welcome to bring your own bike by prior arrangement.
