Introductory Treks
These new introductory level hiking tours include the Far North Explorer, Marlborough Sounds & Abel Tasman Trails and Milford Sounds & Stewart Island Trails. These treks involve hiking for up to six hours a day at a slow but steady pace. A reasonable level of fitness & good health is required.

Moderate Treks
Our Moderate level hiking tours include the Best of the Southern Alps Treks, Volcanoes & Rainforest Trekking, Two Thumbs High Country Trek, Coast & Canyons Trekking, Glaciers & West Coast Trekking. These treks involve hiking for up to seven hours a day at a steady pace. A good level of fitness and health are required.

Challenging Treks
If you're looking for a challenge, our NEW Ball Pass Trek & Climb offers New Zealand's most spectacular alpine scenery. This trek involves trekking in variable weather condiitons for up to 8 to 10 hours a day. An excellent level of fitness is required.

Entry Mountaineering/Exploratory Treks
Learn the full range of modern alpine and ice climbing techniques in the heart of the Southern Alps! Check out the Mt Aspiring Climb & Alpine Skills Instruction Course, Ice Climbing Course, & Alpine Climbing Course. These adventures are classed as expeditions. They involve either extreme trekking and or basic mountaineering.
